New & Returning

For adventurers finding their way back

World of Warcraft has grown through many expansions. Whether this is your first step into Azeroth or your first login after a long break, start here and choose a clear next direction.

You do not need to catch up all at once

Modern WoW has quests, dungeons, raids, professions, collections, housing, seasonal systems, and years of story. Feeling overwhelmed at first is normal. New players do not need to learn every old system; returning players do not need to finish every missed expansion before playing with people again.

Follow the in-game new or returning player guidance, confirm the current campaign, get your character comfortable, then pick the activities that actually sound fun.

Recommended Chinese resource: Talking Hearthstone

If you read or listen to Traditional Chinese, the creator Talking Hearthstone has a focused video playlist for new and returning players. It is useful when you want a quick explanation of current systems and common questions.
